Vegas "Film-Look" effects

When you buy Vegas itself, does it come with certain effects you can apply to your video to help with a film look and what might they be? Or do you have to buy extra plugins like Magic Bullet etc etc?

Vegas comes with a film fx preset but it's not so much for the classic film look as I think you're referring to as much as it is moreso to emulate (I use this loosely) older stocks and film damage, dust, hair, etc.

Magic Bullet's new plug-in just around the corner I hear is fantastic. In the past, I feel that the looks for VASST's Celluloid or Ultimate S were just as good (they're scripts using Vegas fx presets). Still just as good but MB adds a lot to the tool box now.

Where do I find these effects at? I am not seeing them anywhere. Specifically, I wanted to try the "Matrix" effect I have seen other people use.

Secondly, after I import some video into Vegas and change it to 24p, how do I save it to my computer so I can go watch it on my media player? When I go to File - Save, it only gives me the option to save it as a file that can play in Vegas itself. I want to save it as an AVI for example.

Excuse all the questions. I am a newbie. Thanks!

If I get Magic Bullet, how do I install it into Vegas so I can start using it? I'm really sorry for all the stupid questions but that's what being a newbie is all about. I really appreciate all the answers. Thanks guys!

Once you get the Magic Bullet, you don't have to do anything speciall to install it into Vegas. Just put the CD in and it will automatically install the program into Vegas.
