HI all
I have two basic questions.
1.: Im editing in CS3, as well as AE CS3. I need to purchase a new video Card. Im really confused as to what to do.
I have boiled it down to an Nvidia 8800 GTS, OR a Quadro FX1500. I can buy 2 8800's and SLI them for the price of One Quadro. But maybe that is dumb logic?
Are there any distinct differences that I should be paying attention to here? I know the 8800 is a gamers card and probably does DX very good, The Quadro most likely excels at Open GL.
I also wish to be able to do Very Light duty 3d Stuff with Avid 3-D and another hot little plug-in I use all the time for 3-D titles AE called Pro-Animator. It runs pathetically slow with my current, 7600 G-Force card.
Question 2: back in the days of Premiere 5 and 6+, there used to be a function to allow you to export an Ascii .txt file, that would give you a listing of ALL your assets in a project by file name and path. There seems to be no mention of this VERY handy little feature in PPRo CS3. Is that still part of Cs3 Anymore? I cannot remember what adobe called the function itself, but it was under File/Export somewhere. We used to use it a for archiving Projects long term, so we would never lose a component, or could quickly go back and find a file by name that is missing.
Thanks Much

Current Video Cards are Nvidia 7600GS and 8500 GT. pBoth are PCIE. One system has a PCMCIA Reader for my P2 media. No other cards inserted. Sound is VIA OnBoard audio.
