Need help with Firestore and HVX200 setup...

All,

We're starting a new project and just got our HVX200a and Firestore in. I was told by someone that, if I wanted to shoot in 720/24p, I should not set the shooting format to 720/24pn. This person said that the Firestore would not record 24pn and that I should set the Firestore to 24p. Is there any truth to this?

Since we're new to the tapeless world, is there an uber site that will give us some good rules of engagement and tips/tricks for shooting with the HVX and the Firestore?

As of version 3 you can have 'pn' rates. Here is a thread that has some links and info.

I haven't used my FS100 in a while now, so I can't answer all your questions... I discovered that I learned the most by EXPERIMENTING and seeing what worked. Also by doing that, I became much more comfortable navigating the FS100 menus and workflow.

Be mindful of workflows posted on websites, as they may reflect previous firmware versions.
