Two Year Old Becomes Member of Mensa

Youch! 152. All the best to her. Being identified as 'bright' (to say the least) at such an early age can be a curse and a blessing...not that I would know having an IQ of 'less-than-required-to-work-out-the-menu-buttons-on-my-HVX-camera"...where did 'pause' go again :)

Well, going by the standards in that article my daughter is Einstein. Maybe I should call Mensa.

I agree to some point. My daughter could do quite a few of the same things at her age. Especially in terms of colour recognition, counting, etc...

Now, the comment she made about Gaston was really the only thing that blew me away. If she used those exact words at her age then that's impressive. My daughter said the same sort of thing about Gaston, except it was more like... "He's not a very nice person!".

:)

Just a reason for the parents to baby her the rest of her life, and be arrogant toward other people that are "stupid".

Well, if she spells "color" wrong too, she's hardly Mensa material... :)
You Americans, always spelling things differently than the rest of the world. j/k

:D

You know the drill. "our" for most words in Canada/Britain etc...

PS- Just because it comes up wrong for you in spell-check doesn't mean that it's wrong in the rest of the world.
+ Someone from Mensa would probably know that people around the world spell certain words differently.

Of course, this is not the first time you've mentioned this. :)

That's probably because we are, generally, lazy as a culture...

I honestly don't know why Americans spell "color" that way instead of "colour" and other similar words. Is it because America was founded to break apart from all things British? I'm kinda curious now...

By the way... Have I brought this up in the past? I don't remember...

that little girl is already about 70 iq points smarter than me. and once you multiply her age (2) times 15 to get my age, then her iq beats me by about 700 points.

Yeah, I believe so. I remember it had something to do with separating from Brittain. Not sure WHY the american forefathers decided to take out the 'U' of colour, favourite, etc. Guess it's the same as calling french fries freedom fries? I'm curious as well.

There are some more exclusive groups. Mensa is 98th percentile. TOPS is 99th percentile. There is one for 99.9th percentile and I think I recall one for 99.999th percentile. Have fun.
