Is what I'm looking for. I know this topic has been brought up way too many times, but I just need some straight answers.

I just got a Go35pro for my DVX100b. I have access to 10+ pentax lenses but they don't work. I asked the guy I bought it from and he told me it has a Nikon mount. I took the adapter into a local camera shop and they said they couldn't help me at all because it needed an old school lens. I have had this thing sitting next to my camera for 5 days and I can't ****ing use it!!! It's driving me crazy!! haha :kali:

From what I have learned I need a Nikon 50mm f1.8 or so. I am currently looking around for one.

But if any one can help me out with what to do from here and after I get the lens, I don't really know what I'm doing cause I'm kinda new to the 35mm adapter stuff. You can PM or just reply, but please help me out! I know you guys can tell me more then enough of what I need to know! : ) THANKS!

You should read over the sticky posts at the top of this forum.
There is a lot of good intro information in there that may help clear some things up for you.
Once you get the basics then hopefully you can search for answers to specific questions -
that will make it much easier for people to be able to help you.

Here are some links to get you started - there is a log of great information in these:

Don't worry. Everyone starts like that.
I was asking the same kind of questions at the begining too

I'm not a proffesinal but I'll tell you what I know then...

it looks like you got a 35mm adapter that has a Nikon mount.
that means you can only mount Nikon lens to it.
I think the camera shop guy told you "Old school lens" because you need Manual Focus lenses.
Most people use manual focus lenses but you don't have to. it's up to you.
if you have lots of Pentax lenses, I would recomend you to get an adapter that has a Pentax mount so you can use them.
just think how much you will spend on lenses, more then the adapter?

if you want to shoot with it right now, get a Nikon lens. the Nikon 50mm f1.8 only cost $50 or less on ebay. but other lenses will cost you a lot more..

again, it's all up to you.

I believe there are Pentax to Nikon adapters so that you can fit pentax lenses on a nikon mount camera.

Ebay.com

7 - 20 Dollars

You won't be able to hit infinity focus.

The mount is called: m42 to Nikon

If your adapter manufacturer doesn't make an m42 mount you're better off getting Nikon lenses. The backfocus thing with M42 to Nikon adapters is horrendous.
