Crank 2 shoots on HF10 and XH-A1

I'm interested to find out how they're actually making a sequel to that movie. Anyone that's seen the original will know why...

I read that it's a full blown sequel, not a prequel or anything. It'll definitely be interesting to find out how they do this one...

SPOILERS!!!!

Crank 2, High Voltage. Statham's character is given an electric heart and has to keep it running...

END SPOILERS

sounds even more stupid than the first one.

i thought the first one was a great idea, but ruined in execution. Guess I'm alone on that though.

I will not be seeing sequel

I sort of enjoyed the first one. Found it fun, and very weird, but nothing special.

Might pick this one up in rentals, not sure though.

I don't know why there's so much hate on for Crank, I thought it was a great movie... Fun and actiony. Pretty original idea. So it wasn't exactly realistic, who cares? Do you really go to the movies to watch real life? No. you go to the movies to escape reality, and have a good time. Otherwise you'd just walk the streets endlessly making up your own narratives... (maybe some people here do that, not exactly sure haha)

I don't know why people are hating, I remember it being a pretty fun movie. Plus, Jason Statham acting nutty is fun.

I love film nerds movie opinions. "I could have done it better" "I did not like Crank, there was no ambiguously gay plot!" "I hate action movies" "My movies look 10 x's better!"

I have 0 interest in Crank 1 or 2, but I'd consider seeing this at the theater to see how it holds up. Very interesting.

Say what you will about Crank but no one can deny that the sex scene is the hottest sex scene ever made. EVER.

I'm more curious about how they're going to get this great image "in-camera", like they said. He mentions -3 gain I think. But does anybody know what other settings they might plan on using. Same cinematography snobs may have hated the look of Crank - but I thought - in comparison to most movies I see - it looked fine if not good. I'm having a hard time understanding how they're going to get that HF-10 to create a better image. So, settings ideas people?

Last I remember, Jason fell from a helicopter, left a voicemail for his girlfriend, then smashed into the roof of a car...how is there a sequel?

At the very end after he hits the ground and is staring at the camera, he blinks. I thought that was kinda funny and was thinking "...and he's still not dead ?"

But I have no idea if that carrys over to the sequel.
