(New) Doctor Who - Season 4

OK, watched Sci-Fi channel Friday night . . .

Meh. Kinda ho-hom. Too similar to the last two Christmas episodes (which they even made fun of in the episode), and I kept checking the clock.

I hope they go in some new directions this season, because it's starting to get rather repetitive.

It was ok, kind of funny, but D.J. is right, it was less than spectacular. We'll see how the rest of the season goes.

I'm not arguing either. I'm quite honestly p1ssed off with how the new series is turning out. Just watched the third episode in the series on the weekend, and quite frankley. Fire the lot of them.

They have a new writer for every episode now on the series.. Except for Russel T Davies, for the finale's. & of course the amazing Steven Moffat. Who can I just point out for those who don't know Is going to be working with Peter Jackson and his crew on a screenplay for 2009? 2010?

Anyway, best writer. Absolutly sodding fantastic. The episodes were shot here in my hometown and air in a month from now. Personal opinion, by the looks of it. Seems thats when the only highlight in the series is going to be.

Let me know if anyone want's to see 'Planet of the Ood', quite honestly I wouldn't recommend it. It's easily findable on Youtube to if you just type in;

' Planet of the Ood part '

Great episode was just out on tv,

Some old 'friends' of the doctor return for a double cliffhanger episode, to be continued. Really good episode, best in the season so far. Can't wait for next Saturday. Again, great cliffhangers.

Also they filmed at a location I was going to use for my Drama-Fest film, It's exciting to see places you've been and know filmed for TV.

Next episode title is a bit of a spoiler.. so I won't say it.

Again next saturday, 6.20

OK, "Partners in Crime" . . .

ANOTHER episode about aliens taking over the bodies of fat people? And, of course, again, the bad guy was a blond lady with glasses in a black suit.

They need to get out of contemporary London, find some new plot lines, and visit some interesting places, or they're going to lose my interest ere long.

I know they're headed there. but it's probably just a one-off.

In the first run of the show, the only time it was this stuck to one time and place was during the Pertwee years after the Time Lords had marooned him on Earth with a non-functional TARDIS.

It Is a one off,

New York
New New York
New (x17) York
The Moon
London
The Globe (Shakespear Episode)
Planet of the Ood.. (Dont know where that is..)

We see Earth set in different times, and some episodes set above earth or on Spaceships. But yeah your right, there isn't many episodes now that go out of popular London. It is getting a bit boring. Although everyone here says they want a Christmas Special, set in London, in the Victorian Age..

They seem to have a mad fetish for New York to.

Ugh. More New^17 York? I thought they weren't going back there.

The other Doctors rarely visited the same place twice, in 25 years . . .

Concluding episode tonight, before the big.. episodes start. Can't wait, got my Doctor Who top clean & my tardis popcorn maker plugged in.

I missed the early show tonight to watch Ghost Whisperer with the family, but it's on again in a half hour. Funny how I just said I'd like to see them in old Rome, and tonights show is Pomeii.

Next week I'd love to see them surrounded by sexy, scantily clad Redheads... :)

Ah.. well ;P

How do you guys get to see it a week or fortnight later, BBC America?
Ah well
At least we had POTC a day before you guys -smug-

(was joking about the tardis popcorn maker ofc, good idea though no?)

I watched it on SciFi KiKi. Hey- While we are talking about BBC America, I started watching a show called Jeckyl. Any Idea when we can expect to see more of the show?

Jekyll premieres on BBC America on Aug. 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. ?Cindy White

But that was in 2007, i'm not sure if thats the same for 2008... just checked, no news on a Second Season of the show. Episode wise I'm not sure sorry, but I think you'd have a better chance of watching it on BBC America since that's apparently what channel the show was created for.. read it somewhere.

Good taste though, same writer who does some Doctor Who stuff.

No i dont have a tardis popcorn maker lol, but i should.. i could make millions with that idea.

Tonights episode was good I think. Enjoyable.

I live in Cardiff (where they film Dr. Who) and woke one morning to find legions of cybermen marching below my balcony - cool and scary all at once :)

Many of my friends work on the series, along with Torchwood & The Sarah Jane Chronicles, it's nice to know that UK based TV is being enjoyed Stateside.

Martin.
