I can see it being a Hollywood Camerawork series but for behind the scenes, but since it is behind the scenes we don't need virtual dummies

I have the Rush's DCT series including the Intermediate Audio all of which provide a pretty good overview of various types of audio gear and their uses. However, there aren't a lot of detailed examples or in-depth demonstrations of production audio techniques nor is there much discussion of post-production audio. IMO, if you're beyond the basics, you may be a little bit disappointed in the content pertaining to audio production. The rest of the series is excellent, particularly with regards to lighting and I highly recommend it. Also, Rush is supposed to be releasing a new series which will include among other things, a full live movie production of an entire feature from day 1 to 15, which may contain a lot more hands-on examples than the DCT series.

I supplemented Rush's DVD's with books such as Jay Rose's 'Producing Great Sound for Film and Video' as well as others. And of course, it goes without saying, but this site is an absolute treasure trove of information...

If this latest release from Barry and company is anything like his other ones, I'm sure we're in for a real treat...

just order the DVD, thanks for all the work to help us all.

Getting good audio on set is "key", I mean garbage in, garbage out. and as far as I can tell the DVD covers getting great audio properly.

That's still 7 hs! so like... let me do a bit more math.... hummm... yea, at least $1,000,000.- in gas... ACTUALLY, gas is down today, all the markets are up, the oil barrel is down... and the dollar up! wohooooo!!!

lol..... still not driving or flying from LA though... especially now that Barry has that EPIC photo of himself all over DVXuser... his ego is far too big to accept my measly 2 bit wannabe help...

who knows.... maybe I am not buying the Audio Bible right away cause I am saving for a 170, MB, FF, and filters... definitely still no DOF adapter... but maybe I can push it and also get the Bibles as they come out...
