troubling keying out greenscreen in FCP6/Motion3

I shot a ted bear against a green screen using my HVX200 and shooting in 720P/24pn mode. I know I had good lighting, evenly lit, and no shadows.

But I'm having a tough time keying out the green.

I have Final Cut Studio and Motion 3. I'm just not sure which keying effect to use in FCP. I was told to use Motion Primatte Keyer. But didn't have more luck.

If I stay in FCP, what's the best green screen tool to use??? And what would be the ideal settings??? Or should I use Motion 3?

Thanks very much in advance to anyone who can help me.

Use should use several filters as needed.

It helps to mask out your subject and sample from the green left over near the edges.

Motion is not the best for keying in my opinion. I just got AE and Keylight is the easiest plug in to use in AE well...since Motion. I still use motion for almost everything else.

Hello and thanks,

I just downloaded AECS3 and Kelight for free (30 days) and I agree.

The problem I'm still having is that I'm getting buzzing pixels on the teddy bear after keying out the green with Keylight. Do any of you know what means???

Have any of you had this problem: the pixels seem to be buzz like it was shot on HDV or something. I know I shot it on 720p/24pn with my HVX200.

If you can upload maybe a 30 or 60 frame clip of your original footage I can run it through several of the keyers we have to test it. It sounds likely that you are getting a "soft" key using Keylight and spill may be causing the buzzing.
