Filters have disappeared! Anybody else have this issue?

Hey All,

Just wondering if anybody else running FCS2 and FCP6 has had any issues with filters disappearing from the menu.

Those that I notice are missing are Video>Smoothcam, Stylize>Bad TV and Blur>Prism. All three are included with Final Cut 6 and were once present on my system.

I've tried re-installing, no dice. Has anybody else heard of this, or suffered similar?

I'm just now having the same problem. Although I've looked online I haven't really found a post that gives a proper explanation. I've tried re-installing the latest ProApps update from Apple, but to no effect.

Did you ever figure out a solution?

On the Effects>Effect Availability tab, is 'all effects' checked?

Yes, "all effects" is checked. Since it is a project file, I have effects applied to some events, but all I get is the red screen below. Because of this I can not render anything.

A little background information: I am running FCP 6.03 on a 2.66 Mac Pro with 5Gb of RAM, and OSX 10.5.2. Not sure if this is relevant or not, but just in case.

Those are all Motion effects, so maybe you should try re-installing Motion. Also might want to trash your FCP prefs.
