Any upgrades on the horizon?

[DVX100Shooter]

I have been trying to keep up with the news from NAB to see if Apple was going to release any upgrades to the Final Cut Studio system but I have not seen nor heard of anything as of yet. I am still using the original Final Cut Studio. If nothing is going to come out then I may just upgrade to FCP2.

apple was not at nab.

Apple had people at NAB, but they didn't have a booth at the conference. I would expect FCS3 around next April. Hopefully a DVDSP update to support Blu-Ray before that, but I highly doubt it.

I dunno about FCS3 for next April. That seems a little too soon for a major refresh like FCS. Perhaps a dot update. I.e. FCS2.5 or something. But updating the entire software suite this soon would a) be silly and b) possibly upset a lot of buyers.

early? that would be 2 full years. that's exactly how long FCS1 was out before FCS2.

i stand corrected.
