I hear the New Shoot 35 specific flip and achromat is released?

Yes this is the reason we want to give the shooter the GG option upon purchase. We think this covers most shooters needs. I should mention now that this will not be an interchangeable solution. An interchangeable system would compromise the precision needed inside the unit, in our minds.

Gotta agree with that. An interchangeable solution does invite way too many anomalies into the equation/situation. Good to see that you're not going that route!

Hopefully someone will give us both in a glass ground glass. That way we can all be done with it. :B

It turns out that the setup we chose for our 'EX1 fix' has given improvements on all the other cams, including the HVX200. So it will be a 1 fits all solution. Do you have a flip bundle currently on order?

Glad to hear. Any offset options for the flip too?
Unfortunately, I dont have a new order. I was holding out for the new gear. What is the lead time for those flips and is the achromat available separate?

Having the R&D power in place to find out how to do it and effectively, and then dealing with the unit cost for something like this.

It certainly costs more to produce a glass disk. It works out 5x more costly than the SGpro's current GG.

The x/y adjustment is coming next month, along with the achromat upgrade for existing flip users.

The current shipping date for flip orders is 28th May, SGpro & follow focus orders 11th May.

No,

I should have said 'All new 'flip' orders are being shipped with both our flip module and achromat' as opposed to the Letus flip and achromat.

Hello Wayne, So what can I do? I bought the old SGpro-Flip Unit - how to upgrade this one - and is will the picture quality as good as your new flip-version?

Hi,

The upgrade will be available mid May from our website. Because the increase in quality is a byproduct of our achromat, it will be as good as our new flip.

So is this the same shape as the original flip or is it a totaly new flip with differnt optics/dimensions?

So when I get the upgrade achromat and stick it on my existing flip, theres no difference between that and the new flip unit?

Am I right in thinking the achromat is between the flip and the SG unit, and the condenser is at the back of the flip, or is it the other way round?

do i need this upgrade if i have the old sgpro rev2, without the flip? this upgrade is just for 'old flip' owners right?

It is the other way around, the acromat is the lens you see at the opening of the flip, close to the camcorder lens.

The upgrade will be £49. This is an optional upgrade, not essential. It is for previous owners of the flip module unit, if you have a rev2 without flip, then you do not need it.

28th May is the correct date for the flip module and upgrade.
