NEW 1024x768 HD Monitor

brilliant! you got it all in, maybe needed a tad more emphasis on the viewing angle but you nailed everything else on the interview, I give you a A- for nervousness hehe

Just a quick and very positive review of Luis' Carrion-C.

I had some initial problems getting my Carrion-C to work and Luis was very kind and VERY patient with me, replacing the monitor's inverter for me. The monitor itself, now working, is a joy. I dig the retro-industrial design (it looks impressive) and the luminance and picture are bright and clear. It has made shooting with 35mm lenses on the HVX almost child's play.

Luis has created an excellent product at an excellent price which precisely fit my needs and budget, enabling me to expand my creative scope and production abilities and compete in the marketplace. And Luis himself has proven to be a professional and thoughtful man, someone I look forward to doing more business with in the future.

I've commented on the look of the monitor itself, but never directly about the look of the design. Claycle, you really nailed it: "retro-industrial". It is a beaut.
I will be shooting with one of his monitors that I am renting from Siniarch for a very fair price! I don't want to post it since I don't even know if he is going to establish a rental side to his operation or not. But either way, I will be using it late June I hope, and I'll post some pics of it so you can see it in action.

Hey Guys,

Just so you know. anyone attending CineGear today and tomorrow. 6/20 6/21 at Universal will be able to see the monitor at work at the Redrock Booth. I believe is booth 212.

Once again Brian, thanks so much for supporting the Carrion. :)

You guys rock, and I'm sure RR and all their inovative products will do great and help independent film makers to achieve their dreams.

Anybody else ?

Anybody else ?

I have tried to reach Mr. Luis Sinibaldi several times via e-mail, but never gotten a response...
Has anyone experienced the same problem or more insight on the subject ? Is he still selling his hd-monitor ?

cheers

Luis, its Jon, I met you a DVexpo LA last year, I actually have money this year for a good monitor and I was wondering if you are going to be there again this year? If so, willl you have any rigs for sale at the show, or any show deals~hint, Hint~ good to see your product is flourishing. I will be there again this year with a new camera rig(the HPX170 or the EX1) would like to try it out.

HD-SDI importance?

HD-SDI importance?

I'm looking at buying the cheaper model. How will it affect me not having HD-SDI? I want to use it with my Panasonic HVX 200 with redrock micro lens adapter.

Thanks

Hey Jon,
I'm not sure about DVexpo. I'm still not in a position to get my own booth. for this I am at the mercy of other vendors that would allow me to be at their booth.
I will do my best to be there.

Splow,
not having the HD-SDI will make it impossible to connect any camera that outputs HD-SDI. Thats pretty much the extent of it. Also note, that as long as I can get all the parts, I will offer an upgrade path to the HD-SDI board. It would be a little more expensive at the end to get it later than get it initially, but not much more.

Thanks,
Luis

Hey guys, I just wanted to say that I shot with the CARRION the other day and it was everything that I thought it would be when I got to mess with it here and there... we also had a Panavision 24" CRT that costs something like 30K but once we moved past the fact that without the dagit cable we weren't oging to be able to use it we were able to find that with the CARRION we were going to get what we needed... focusing was a piece of cake with that thing! And composition was a breeze... color reproduction was scary accurate... I really don't see this monitor having ANY downfalls that Siniarch isn't already thinking to beef up with his new model... my opinion is BUY BUY BUY! This thing is a beast for what we are paying for it.
