thank you. i'm trying to make glass in a all black background. i'm tryin to make a square like glass plate to come out of the screen. and flip around in front of the screen.
So you are basically wanting some Specularity, a bit of Caustics, Reflection, and some refraction that does a push from behind the camera's point of view, passes "through" the camera and lens, and continues out along the Z-axis until clear of the camera and beyond and the does a 180? Is that close to what you are wanting?
Out of curiosity, why are you wanting to make it against an all black background? I think that may be more a hinderance than a help in this instance, since all you normally see reflected back at you from a pane of glass are highlights. All dark areas and even darker mids don't give a reflection, so if you put something you want to look like a reflection against a black background, you are essentially giving the reflection back its low end.
If that is confusing, please let me know and I will demonstrate with a still photo.
thanks bro. i'm doing a little short flim. it's a re make of super man 2 where the three bad guys where sent to the phanomon zone. so the frist shot is them looking at the glass coming to them and the second shot is them inside the glass flying into space.
