I've really enjoyed the new shows, but haven't been able to catch the new season yet. Wasn't the first show about the Titanic?

I just caught the first season of the "new" Who and LOVED it. Season two is on its way from Netflix. I've been a big Who fan all my life, so it's really nice that these new ones are so good.

What is the BBC Viewer?

I too like it very much, especially since it fully embraces the original and has excellent continuity with it. (Other sequels/revivals/reboots/re-imaginings certainly can't say the same.)

Three nits:

1) I don't particularly care for the Tardis interior. I liked this guy's spec concept a lot better: http://www.who3d.co.uk/tardis/tardis2002/

2) The Doctor is waaaaay too kissy.

3) The series is lot more fixed in location, time, and characters. The original visited many more exotic locations and met many more interesting people.

those tardis designs are cool. I like the new interior though because I like it when they hint at him having technology beyond anything humans can create. So the weird curvy interior is cool in that sense. Kind of like on Farscape when they have a lot of organic technologies.

Sorry for posting in the wrong section, my reason was the TV issue in the Film Discussion area.

BBC Viewer is when episodes from Television Series's aired on British TV are uploaded online by the channel for people to watch at there own leisure.. until the next episode comes out.. which then the new episode starts to be aired online.

Handy for people like me, because I just got back from a date and missed Half of the episode thats on Right now.

I switched on the Television, and I couldn't do it at a much worse possible time.

Small Spoiler -

Donna - Do it..

Doctor - No. You don't understand.

(Beat)

Doctor [CONT'D] - If I press this button, 20,000 people will die. Including us.

Donna puts her hand on him, the Doctor clearly distraught.

- Switches Tv off in an epic 'NO!' Yelling. So I'm gonna watch it later.

The first episode of the Season was Voyage of the Damned.

They recently wrapped up production on the series, with one of the final shoots being in Swansea again. I think in total this season.. 4 episodes are filmed in my hometown, and one for it's sub series successor Torchwood.

Anyone just saw this episode? Just caught the trailer for the next one as I was typing.. I'll put it in first post in a few.

It is "alive," though I've never been sure how much of that translates into it's appearance. Like I don't know if it grows like an animal, or if it just has a core that's alive.

We never see its real shape I think, ever...

David, can you remember any eps where we see the TARDIS as something other than the call box?

Last season they showed some of the inner workings when Rose absorbed it's energy... or something like that. It's hard to pay attention to TV and surf the web at the same time.

yeah, I saw that. I mean, I don't think we ever see the real outside. It's sort of broken and stuck looking like the call box.

I just realised, you guys (Americans) are one series behind us British. So I've probably been talking Googily Goo Ga unless you've watched the Third series somehow already, or I'm wrong.

Oh, we're used to that... you people speak English funny ;)

The Doctor partially repaired the circuit a couple of times. I recall most vivdly "Attack of the Cybermen," where it kind of randomly changed into a few different things, like a stove with a weird '70s flower pattern on it, and old pipe organ, and maybe a couple of other things.

Other TARDISes, of course, had various shapes. The Master's was a grandfather clock, a stone column, an iron maiden, etc. The Rani's was usually a pyramid. The Monk's was a Gregorian altar.

I don't think so, unless it was in "The War Games" -- haven't seen that one since high school, so I don't recall specifically.

Gotta say, last night's episode (Just watched it) was bloody brilliant. Really brought out the character's alot more.

If your interested in seeing the episode in High Quality, Full Screen & legally. You can catch it here;
