Not bad for $169, or is it? I may check it out. Wanted to use it for shots to zoom in when I am high on a mountain and need a closer shot of a stream or lake down below. What are your thoughts on the 135mm that is listed in the link?

Others are nearly over $1,000. This one seems quite cheap. Does anyone have it? How is the grain control on it? Is it a clear picture or some grain? Hopefully not too much.

Bought the Nikon Series E 135mm used for $70 CDN from a local photo store. Maximum aperture 2.8, 49mm filter thread and a pull out lens hood.

So far it's been a pretty good buy for the bit of testing I've been doing with it. Seems pretty sharp. The focus turns nicely but the aperture ring is a little more plastic clicking feeling than my 28mm Nikkor lens. Very light for it's focal length.

No complaints for certain and it was a good buy for little $$!

Bought a Nikon 135mm f/2.8 AI for $100 on eBay. The focus rings are notoriously stiff on the AI version (from what I hear)...chances are the E version won't have nearly the stiffness. Optically they are similar, right?

I bought a nikkor 135mm f2.8 ais for $70 at a local camera store, its a great lens for the price. I use it on my dslr.

Do any of you see the grain or "noise" on the ground glass lens? I bought a used 50-150mm Sigma f/2.8 Apo and I dislike the grain on the glass, even when I put the vibrating motor of the Letus on...
