Rebel With a Cause - Isara doc - Official Announcement

Thanks Elvis!

I've now gotten completely moved out of my apt here in Jacksonville after returning from shooting the interviews in Texas. Only four more days here before I leave for Thailand.

I will be packing and getting last minute details tended to here, and then we will be holding on for the ride! First stop will be Bangkok, then on to Udon Thani, and from there we will catch a van ride into Nong Khai. I think I will have time to blink before the Thai New Year gets underway with the Song Kran festival.

The first event to be shot will be an important helmet campaign on April 10th, just prior to the beginning of the big water festival which marks the New Year festivities.

So you guys, stand by. Its so close!

I'm stoked to have Luis on board; having more DVXUsers is always a good thing. I think we're up to five DVXUsers on the doc so far...

Get me to Thailand and Ill work and equip free (from Sat 6th until 12th April when Im due to head to Aus). Im just over the small ocean in Tokyo.

This is a great thread to read through and see how its all going! I'll be popping in for updates as much as I can!

Well Noel, we might be able to do that. So you'd want a one-way ticket from Tokyo to Thailand? Let me talk to Terri and we'll see if there's work to do that week! Thanks for the offer!

UPDATE: thartley arrived in Nong Khai, Thailand a few hours ago. After a quick tour of the Isara Learning Center we all went to have dinner along the Mekong River. She and her daughter are now resting from the two-day journey to get here.

Tomorrow Isara is having it's 3rd Annual Song Kran Helmet Donation so they're going to need all the rest they can get.

Must admit, it's very surreal to meet someone, for the first time, even though you've known them for the past 3 years online. But it's definitely a good kind of surreal.

Thanks, Elvis. Not sure what can be done at NAB. Maybe send Barry a PM and see what you guys can come up with.

Brandon - Haven't had a chance to transfer pics from our cameras yet, but here's a snapshot from our webcam earlier today of the helmet donation ceremony. We gave out 100 helmets in about 10 minutes. It was crazy how many people showed up.

I watched the American Idol "Idol Gives Back" charity telethon last night, but I didn't see a single mention of any of PK's great endeavors ... what gives? :)

Great to hear Terri made it safe and sound ... looking forward to getting an inside scoop on the PK Compound when she finishes the documentary

Looks awesome man!

Thank you for all your support and well wishes, and I am very glad I am finally here. Now can someone tell Hell to turn down the heat?

We had two cameras rolling and one still cam snapping yesterday. And I have to say that I do not think the picture you see quite does it justice to how it actually felt. It was a MADHOUSE. Police were everywhere blowing whistles, trying to control the crowd, nurses were there to help give out helmets and also to promote their new emergency assistance phone number, trucks with megaphones were rolling by (but I have no clue what they were broadcasting) and in twenty minutes, it was all over and the street was empty except for the ILC folks.

Amazing!

We've got the last bit of our equipment shipments in, I believe (thanks Barry!) and are just now looking at all the goodies. I think the Letus will be the first thing to be test driven. So, now we begin playing with the goodies.....

Barry, I already respect you. But I have to say, you are a guy with a lot of love in your heart. Godspeed to Barry, PK, and Terri.
