I started putting a timeline together and realized I captured a bunch of 2997 footy into a 23.98 timeline. The sequence preset is DV NTSC 48 kHz - 23.98. The Capture is DV NTSC 48 kHz Advanced (2:3:3:2)Pulldown Removal. Can i just recapture the 2997 footage into a 23.98 timline or am i out of luck trying to work with the 2997 footage ? All my my stuff is 24pa.

Are you trying to work with 29.97 footage and 24p on the same timline? If im not mistaken its better to shoot 24pnormal and keep the pulldown intact when capturing and then edit on 29.97. Im not sure if its the same with 24pa though, somone correct me if im wrong.

I usually shoot 24pa exclusively and then edit on a 23.98 timeline. But I have some old 2997 footage captured (first tape i ran through my DVX) as well as some 2398. I was hoping to output to a native 24P DVD. But i guess this is not possible now. I guess the best thing to do would be to start with a 2997 timeline. Another question i have is what if i captured the 2997 with the DV NTSC 48 kHz Advanced (2:3:3:2)Pulldown Removal capture setting. Does it remove frames off the 2997 footage ?

it will probably won't remove anything as it doesn't receive any flags to indicate the pulldown. just check the info in the bin window.

Yes, you won't be able to make a 24p DVD if you include 29.97 material.

What as far as pulldown removal can be used on a 2997 timeline ? I had the orginal 24pa captured with the DV NTSC 48 kHz Advanced (2:3:3:2)Pulldown Removal capture setting. Can this be placed directly on the 2997 timeline ? It looks like it is strobing on the 2997 timline ?
