Top Ten Movie Douchebags

Was watching a few 80's movies recently, and I noticed how many of the classics feature a character I shall call "the douchebag". The 80's were a golden age of movie douchebags. So here is my top ten list--

1. Paul Gleason in The Breakfast Club, Die Hard, Trading Places, etc.

2. Jeffrey Jones in Ferris Bueller's Day Off

What about Ben Affleck (Fred O'Bannion) in Dazed and Confused? lol

Not exactly from the 80's but still a movie douchebag that sticks in my mind

She was too scary to be a douchebag. There should be a comical element to a real douchebag.

The main German Officer in The Last Crusade (who goes off the cliff)

Nah.

The mayor in JAWS

Definitely! Murray Hamilton was a great douchebag.

The lawyer in Jurassic Park

Douchebag lite.

Well, almost every 80'ies "revenge" movie has a ridiculously bad (in every meaning of the word) douchebag.

The ones that come to mind (including some recents):

Rocky 3- Clubber Lang

ROcky 4- Ivan Drago

BLoodsport- Chong Li

Kickboxer- Tong Po

V for Vendetta- The "O'Reilly" clone

Jackass- The whole cast.

And many more...

To clarify, this is my personal defiintion of a movie douchebag--

Douchebag; Someone with a hilariously inflated sense of self importance who abuses his authority or social position to make life miserable for the protagonist.

Ben Gazzara as Brad Wesley is Roadhouse

Brian Dennehy as Hope Sheriff Will Teasle in First Blood

Henry Czerny as Robert Ritter in Clear and Present Danger

Ok, sticking with your definition of "douchebag", Battuta:

"The Critic" from Lady In The Water

Ben Stiller in "Dodgeball"
