I'm purchasing a Powermac Desktop with Final Cut in the near future, and I was just wondering what would be a good video card to look for that can handle HD footage and magic bullet?
Advice on a good video card?

Are you purchasing a used Powermac or getting a new Mac Pro? Just get the stock ATi 2600 if you're getting the new Mac Pro.

Probably going with a used one. A G5.

then the ATi x800 is your best bet.

The x800 is hard to find and even if you get your hands one on it might not work properly (the cards were on back-order forever and then once they finally started shipping many of them had problems).
Unless you are getting a super-sweet deal (like nearly free) I wouldn't get a G5. The difference in speed is h-u-g-e (ex. our Macbook Pro laptops kill my 2x2.0ghz G5) and things are starting to move to intel only or, at least, designed for intel machines.
