Low cost "mixer" (but not really)

My Shure m267 just broke and I'm looking for a new mixer. I don't want to spend FP33 money.

I don't even need a "mixer" per se because I'll never be using more than one microphone on a shoot. I just need an extra set of volume controls that aren't on the DVX and (if I can see levels on it, all the better) with XLR in and out.

Any suggestions?

That is closer to what I need. But at the end of the day it's still 700 bucks when what I really need is an inline volume control.

Any ideas?

I just picked-up a Shure M367 cheap on eBay. There are other's on there now and it should make a good replacement for the older 267. Check it out.

I've got a basically new PSC DVPromix 3 that I'd let you have for $300. Comes with a case and manual. It's a pretty darned decent tool, all things considered. Drop me a note if you'd like more info: squire (a) nonfictionphoto (dot) com
