Shure wireless quality and selection and price?

I have an oppurtunity to get a Shure wireless kit. My questions is if you had to go with a Shure which would you choose for best bang for buck?

Is there something else out there that is just much better than Shure? I cruised the boards and got some interesting info but I also realize there is stuff coming out nearly monthly and wanted to get the latest info out there.

Is this such a murky question riddled with a deadly realitavistic answer that pandoras box is ripping out my colon trying to understand the response I am about to get?

thanks, K

Yes, definitely, but you would be paying much much more than the cost of a Shure wireless system.

For the budget conscious, you may want to check out the wireless offerings from Sennheiser. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. Can you supply any more details or links? Would like to hear more opinions, facts, etc.

I wouldn't get anything less than the SLX series from Shure, and given my choice I'd probably take the ULX Professional. That said, none of those come with battery-powered receivers. The consensus of the board is that the best lower-priced battery-powered system is the Sennheiser Evolution G2 100 series. (And, honestly, even if you're not needing battery power, the Evolution G2's stack up pretty well against the Shures IMO; my one experience so far with the ULX Pro was not entirely satisfactory.)
