Hi Guys / Gals...

Me and a couple of friends are working on a concept / pilot of what we think is in the area of Gervais / Merchant / Pilkington type humor - some obvious stuff, some subtle...

So far we've got two short videos uploaded with a third on the way soon - things are still in the very early stages but we'd really appreciate it if you could check out what we've got... perhaps comment / subscribe / rate etc if you feel like it...
If not, then any constructive feedback would really be appreciated in this thread...

(for the moment, please ignore the production values and focus on the content!)

Thanks!

Below is the blurb we gave on the youtube "channel":

"I am a concept created by revolutionary psychologist Stewart berg who committed suicide in 2007. I am the very first recordings of An investigation in anonymous debate much like that of Internet forums and parties in dark rooms. Three strangers hand chosen for their own individual opinions are isolated for a varying duration of time and have their identities hidden to then debate various different subject matters. The three strangers will only ever be known as No1, No2, No3.Discussions ranging from brand name cola to Carl Marx. Their only limit is their own intelligence.

Stewart Berg killed himself shortly after being suspended from practice for indecent behavior and this is what he has left behind. This is his legacy.

If you would like to submit a subject matter/ question to be debated by No1, No2 and No3 please email us at balaclavadebates@gmail.com"

Could be AWESOME... but could you please get a mic in there somewhere? Even out of frame... it's driving me nuts having to concentrate so hard on just understanding the dialog. Otherwise thumb's up.

yeah on that note I'm starting to think:

1) we should actually rehearse a little more - the comic timing / delivery is way off

2) Instead of upping the vol, it might actually just work better as audio only. I'm not sure. There's not a lot of action going on and facial expressions are almost null due to masks... (except number 1 who pulls off a funny face throughout)

Cheers for the input!

You should have the numbers on each side of the balaclavas. I thought the actors were great, didn't at all seem like they were trying to hard, flowed well. Just don't over rehearse cause you might lose some of that.

Maybe have them in those panty hose balaclavas to see their faces. Maybe put one in ski goggles with a swimming cap or something then give the third guy his own look too.

I like the idea of sitting around the table for the setting of the show but maybe have flashbacks/forwards (whatever it's called) or something when someone's telling a story to get them out the house. Maybe get another camera or two in there to break it up if you can.

Topic suggestion: Balaclava 1 brings up the point about how pissed he was the other day going into the bank and getting in trouble for wearing a motorbike helmet (not robbing the place). Obviously the other guys see the irony in that he is a thief but B1 can't be talked around, he backs it up with dumb analogies like how a hot chick can get into a club with sandals (whatever they're called) and a dude can't. He says he bets a hot chick could walk into a bank with a mb helmet on and not be asked to take it off. Maybe they pay a hot chick to try it.
