Exporting 1080p 23.98 from FCP

Hi all,

I am preparing to export a DVCProHD 1080p 23.98 file from a 108024PA timeline, but realized that there is no such options. In Export via "Quicktime conversion", final cut only exports to 1080i60, 1080i50, 1080p25 and 1080p30, for DVCProHD. But I need the file in 23.98 because I am bring it to a posthouse for them to print it to a HDCAM master for me.

Am I seriously misunderstanding something with regards to framerate?

Another question, will exporting using "quicktime", "quicktime conversion" or through "compressor" yield a higher quality output in this instance?

any advice will be great,

Don't use QT Conversion. Export as a Quicktime Movie...click SELF CONTAINED and do NOT recompress the frames. That will export a file with the exact settings you have in the timeline.
