Tuxedos! - the biggest waste of money ever.

So I have to get a tuxedo for the end of may, and realistically it's going to be cheaper for me to buy a cheap one then rent for like 3 weeks. So has anyone had any good luck with those super cheap tuxedos online? Are they made of construction paper?

...or if you're in LA and you know of a place to get them on the cheap, that'd be sweet, or wanna sell me that one in your closet, I'd be down for that too. haha

I feel ya man. I've got to plunk down about $350 for a suit this weekend. I'm the best man in my buddy's wedding, but at least I get to keep the suit. Rentals kinda suck when it comes to tuxedoes.

rentals always have this odd smell that freaks me out.

... everyone tells me, "ah you gotta go downtown to get a good deal on a tux" but my question is where, I see lots of luggage and suits for sale in downtown LA, but not tuxes.

blah, oh well.

Look at it that way:

Girls need to get a complete new outfit for every event.

A man got one Tux and is dressed for years - nobody will ever say
"Oh look, he worn that Tux last time already".

I got got 2 of them (one is a Sport-Tuxedo) and love them.
You look always slick and cool like Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra.

If you want to be different, get a vintage Tux with wide lapels and slacks from the 30s or 40s.
That will knock tha girls of the socks - it´s literally a conversation magnet.

It will be cheaper thou and you get better quality for the $$. I hate it to swet in those 80% poly fabric suits - a vintage one will have no stinky plastik fibres.

LA is full of vintage clothing stores.
