"I know who I am. I'm a dude, playin' a dude, disguised as another dude!"

HAHA. This is going to be really good.

Had heard about this movie for quite some time before the trailer was finally released.

My interest went from zero to having this be my most anticipated film of the summer months.

Looks hilarious, can't wait.

I saw this last night and it was absolutely fantastic. Incredibly fun from start to finish and they go to places you don't think would ever be considered in the studio world today. Lots of industry jokes, and not to mention John Toll's beautiful cinematography. It looks like a million bucks.

Could have seen it for free last night but I turned it down. I'm regretting that after Andrew's review...

It is freaking hilarious... Why doesn't ben stiller direct and write more... It seems he makes best stuff that way. Great acting and fun story line and jokes. Tom Cruise Cameo is awesome.

"which one of you is the Key Grip?"
Hand raises.
"Punch the poo pooing director in his poo pooin limey face."
Walks over to the director.
"sorry"
Punches in the face.

Awesome film enjoyed it very much also the faux trailers befroe the film awesome.

I thought it was definitely funny, hilarious at times, but in the end I think they pushed the satire too far into the ridiculous. The difference between this and a film like Galaxy Quest (a similar type of story), is that I could actually believe there was an 80's show called Galaxy Quest with that cast. I never believed any of the actors in Tropic Thunder could actually be real. The spoofs are funny, as are the actors (especially Downey), but I was never that involved in the story because the characters were played just a little too broadly. I laughed, and that's about it. I don't regret seeing it, though. Tom Cruise's few scenes are worth the price of admission.

One of the worst films I have ever seen in the theater. I usually enjoy Stiller, Black, etc.,
but this was just awful. Howard the Duck bad.

Well, although I don't think it was the worst film ever (that would be reserved for The Tracy Fragments), I did find it pretty cliche. Everybody's raving about Tom Cruise's character. Have these people ever seen Entourage? Or... any movie that's had a studio head?

I thought the film delivered some big laughs, albeit, not the whole time, but again, enough that kept me going.
