Really? Even after the blunder that was Sum of All Fears? Really? That was a horrible "reboot". I actually asked for my money back on it. The ONLY way this could be good is if they go off Tom Clancy's new Jack Ryan book. Other than that, I think it'll be another bad reboot of a cool series.

If they DO it, please DON'T reprise Ben Affleck as Jack Ryan :zombie_smiley:

I second that. He is :banned: from the role

I'm more concerned about Sam Raimi than Ben Affleck, personally.

Actually, I didn't mind "Sum of All Fears," and (this should be a popular opinion ) I think I liked Affleck better than Harrison Ford. I like Harrison in most things, but he just never clicked for me as Jack Ryan.

Baldwin was my favourite Jack Ryan.
Ford was a very close second.

Affleck was not even close. He's just not in their league.

[GDV]

No! No more Jackffleck!!!!

If Raimi's doing it, let me be the first to beg for Bruce Campbell in the title role.

And let's not forget Ted Raimi and Fake Shemp!

Agreed.

Baldwin was superb.

According to the article they are wanting to create prequals focusing on Ryan's more "formative" years. No thanks. When will the prequel and re-imagining trend end?
