cracked laptop screen...health concerns?

this morning my daughter stepped on my laptop and the screen cracked. on the inside of the screen there are some dark splotches coming from the cracks. is there anything that can leak out that would be harmful?

I feel your pain, two weeks ago mine also broke, you could see the liquid flowing. We had to change panel abvout 200-300€.

how do i know if it is? it's an hp pavilion from about 2 years ago.

If the backlight is still coming on the the tube is still intact and won't be leaking anything.

it would either say on the box or be one of the advertised features on your model numbers web page on HP's site.

I know apple didnt get LED displays in its 15" MBP's until about 9 months ago. safe to say its flou.
