New EX1 Letus Short shot in New Mexico done, the first of two. Am currently building its page, but it is now viewable on my blog.

Managed to squeeze them in between filming the doc.

Crazy dof... nice 3D reproduction. Just some more typically amazing Bloom stuff! Those rocks look dangerous... huh?

Very sharp images. By the way, what type of lens did you use and what is your work flow if you don't mind I'm asking?

Thanks!

No offence Phill, I honestly love your work (thou there is offten too much MagicBullet in there for my taste) but it seems since we all have adapters many films are a series of rack focuses.

Like when there is a new effect plug in on the market you see many films that look like build arround that plug in.

I actually hardly do any rack focuses! How many were in Tent Rock? I counted none. Overused.

Some shift tilt lenses were used. Also my second short "The Tramway is now up on my site with info on my blog. It has one rack focus near the beginning.

. . .my second short "The Trolley" is now up on my site with info on my blog. . .

I just watched it. The visuals were absolutely fantastic. 2 questions: The sped up close up of the sun, what lens did you use? 200mm? And second, is there a typical shutter speed you use/are particularly fond of?

it must have taken AGES to set up all that track :D
was that a UFO - bright red light travelling under the tower? :Drogar-Shock(DBG):

Very pleasing clouds :)

Now that is a sharp meatball!

Hmm, I've gotta say, not your cleverest comment. I mean no offense, but based on what's so far a pretty positive track record, I just think you could do better. Sorry rawfa. Best of luck next time.

Hey Philip, loved the film, how are you like the EX1? I have been using the DVX now for ages, and I just made 2 shorts with the HV20 and Sgpro set up and had some all right results, but I have been saving for a new cam, how is this camera performing cinematically? I know your footage is speaking for itself, but how difficult was it to use the EX1 wit the Letus, I plan on either getting the EX1 or HMC, or maybe something new from canon at NAB, but I was just wondering what you hate and like of this camera.

Cheers,
Jon
