So I just noticed:
After probably 7-8 projects that I've done on my HVX using FCP, I've had the following settings in my sequence set as:
Field Dominance: Lower (even)
Editing Timebase: 29.97
But I've shot everything in 480i30p.
Since this is progressive, should I have field dominance set to "none"? Or does it not matter, since SD footage @ 30p is actually put out with two duplicate frames to fit into the 60i timebase... or does it matter? What effect does this have on the final product, and why is it important to set one or the other?
As for the editing timebase, 29.97 is correct, isn't it, even when using progressive?
What about in progressive HD - does it remain 29.97 when shooting 30p, still, because that is the NTSC standard? (that hasn't changed w/HD, has it?)
