Diary of the Dead

Ok, went to see it last night and wasn't expecting too much...and that helped. ;)

It was much better satire this time around (compared to Land of the Dead), and just makes you so happy to be enduring the YouTube age. :)

It was basically a Cloverfield for zombies flick. The pretense of film students doggedly documenting their own apocalyptic ordeal and scrambling to upload to the web was pretty effin' funny.

I give it a mild recommendation for the laughs.

btw, it's funny that the film even states the cameras used for the film student's "The Death of Death" doc, which is the basis of the film. It was supposedly HVX and HDX900.

Is it as "political" as Land of the dead? ;-) Parts of it were actually shot with the AG-DVX100.
The other day I watched Day of the Dead by mistake thinking it was Romero's new flick...big mistake...what a suck fest.

Nah, thankfully not as political, but absolutely impales the current trendiness of the YouTube feeding frenzy going around the globe. There's also a lot of stuff that might be painfully funny to folks around this forum too.
