Just wanted to know.....i planning to go there (or try too...). Just wanted to get some feedback from you guys.

Thanks!

my business partner has a masters in screenwriting from USC. the day he got it he couldn't decide whether to frame it or wipe his ass with it.

i just saw a film made by usc students .... it was amazing. beautifully shot, acted and story. It was called "China" kills anything i seen a student do.

Now that's weird, cause I saw one by a USC group (that apparently won awards) and it was really mediocre, and I ended up sounding like a Jackson Pollock critic:

"Hell, I could do that!"

hmm well this one was really great there a scene where (it's filmed in Black and White) where the sky is grey the trees are black and the man stands in a field of dandy lions and they are white as clouds. The cinematographer was a female student... not many of them in the film business but lord I was taken back when I saw it.

the problem is that school with that high a profile attracts some really talented kids, but that doesn't mean the rest of the students are talented at all. Plus they spend a lot of resources on those thesis projects.

My feeling is that the guys who made china would be making awesome stuff even if they never stepped into a USC class.

not to turn this into another "film school" thread ;)
