Hey,
So I'm confused about something re: Vegas and multi cam editing and wonder if anyone could clear it up.
When editing (for example) a music video of multiple takes, every time I make a cut on the multi cam timeline I get a small clip. Now this is tied to the entire track but I can do whatever I want to this clip individually - effects and what not.
However, say I then want to colour correct the whole video, how can I apply these changes to the entire project? Normally if I had a variety of individual clips then I would just copy and paste the event attributes, however this won't let me do that for multi cam edits. Likewise I don't want to have to go through each of the hundred of mini clips and manually add and edit each effect.
What I've been doing, as a get around, is exporting the whole video as an mpg, then bringing it back into the time line and doing CC to the whole clip, which I'll then render out again in a mpg. This isn't an ideal solution because I'm now working on an mpg, not the uncompressed original footage.
Can someone please let me know what the best work around here is - in essence, how to edit the video in its natural uncompressed format without having to go into each mini clip manually.
