Wondering if anyone has any good leads or ideas of what to do if I want a magnification Diopter for the HVX

the dvx has this great one from century optics called the 72MM +3.5 ACHROMATIC DIOPTER which retails for around 400 bucks. This allows you to get 3.5 times closer to an object than the lens alone. It is really good for macro closeups.

unfortunately they don't have one of these for the HVX which has an 82mm ring

wondering if anyone has found something for this

looking to spend around 400 bucks and want it to be at least a 3x magnification

help

I got a 82 to 72 stepdown ring that works great for that (unless you don`t go aaalllm the way in wideangle.

so that means you need to zoom in a bit to make it work? right...are there any drawbacks to that or is that the way to go...I'm suprised century optics just doesn't make an 82mm one

No other close up diopters out there that are 3x?

so i was told from tiffen to get a 82mm to series nine then buy a series 9 +1, +2, or +3

82mm to series 9 is about 100 bucks

one of the series 9 adaptors is about 130.00

not bad....i'll let you all know when i do a test if it works out

any other suggestions or if someone has done this please chime in

so i am debating on this set up and wondering if anyone has used it

step up ring 82mm to series 9 and then a plus 3 series 9 to go on that

any reason no one seems to use close up diopters with the hvx....everyone is like no one has asked for this really. Just wondering is the macro that good????????

anyone use any close up diopter with the hvx....what do you think
