Would love to see some A1 footage to go along with the HVX/Extreme footage on other threads.

Awesome! Thanks for these, but I gotta say for some reason those Cavision rails look so ugly. lol

What are you using to support the front? It looks like a Cinevate adapter-to-rails mount.... Is it sufficient or would something that supported the adapter itself work better?

Thanks,

DM

At first glance, it looks like the rods are covered in black athletic tape (in first pic). It threw me off a little bit! Must be the way the lighting hit the carbon fiber.

My cavisions definitely don't look like that...

Hi

I just ordered the Extreme. Now I have to pick my rails. I was wondering if you are still using this setup.

What do you do to pop off some handheld shots (like in your recent video).

Thanks!

I guess shoot with the rails attached to the camera. Sit it on your shoulder and use the rails for stability?

I went with the Cinevate rails and Mattebox.
So far I'm really happy with them.
If you are going to use a mattebox, make sure your rails allow for enough vertical rise to accommodate it. Kind of hard to see it the pic (sorry) but my lex support is all the way up and the mattebox is all the way down for it to work.
