Color correction monitor and macbook pro

Hi guys,
It is always a pleasure to spend some time reading on this forum.

I have a macbookpro + FCP2 and I would like an "unexpensive" solution to calibrate a external monitor for color correction. Have you some suggestion ?

I am still working in SD, but I think I'll move to HVX in the next 6 months.
I read tons of posts dealing with matrox MXO + APD 23"and it seems very intersting.
At the same time someone mentioned AJA Kona and blackmagic HDlink, so I am a little bit confused right now.

I've heard good things about the huey pro for normal use, not sure about with editing...

I cast my vote for the Matrox MXO + ACD 23". Serves two purposes… a second monitor for everyday use and "good enough for me" color correction.

Did some of you experience any different combo solution for the monitor part? I mean, since I heard some complaints about ACD 23", is it possible to use MXO+a different tft 23" monitor?

I think you can use any monitor with it. Not sure though.

I think the Dell 24" is compatible, but really, I'd stick with the 23" ACD. I love mine.

I've played with the ADC's, and to me, they do not seem great for color correcting, even with calibration, they don't look quite right.
