Countryman B6 repair? In NY?

I'm not really sure whats wrong with my Countryman B6 lav mic but I am not getting a signal into my Sennheiser G2 wireless receiver.

When I plug the stock mic that comes with the G2 everything works fine, so I have narrowed it down to the mic but can't see anything wrong with the cable so I need to have it looked at.

Does anyone know of a repair shop that works on these mics?

I live in New York City so it would be great to find a place here to avoid sending it away.

With the B6, I would send it to Countryman. They are great and obviously they can do the best job of tracking down the problem. Rosa is who you want to ask for - she runs their repair group and has done great things for me. They turned a re-plug in about an hour for me once (stupid actor jammed the pack into his pants and popped the wire right out of the plug.) Sent a PA with the mic and had it back immediately. (Of course it helps that they are only about 15 miles from my house.) :-)

Do you know if I could take it anywhere in NYC?

Would you trust any standard audio tech besides Countryman to work on your B6?

The convenience of being able to have repairs done locally would be great, since I've read that this is a fairly normal problem with lav mics.

With B6's because they are so small, I really wouldn't trust anyone else with them. I know in NYC that Gotham is well thought of, but I don't know if they have a repair department and if they do, if it's any good. If you were talking about a COS-11 or even a Countryman B3, I'd be less concerned.

Do you think that is what has happened to my mic. As I said I see no damage to the mic on the outside. Is a diod disconnect a common problem in the B6?

Also do you guys have a link for Gotham or PSS?

It would be great to walk this mic in and have it fixed tomorrow :)
