The workflow for Windows is... well, not really what you'd want it to be yet. There seems to be some excitement for someone named ibloom's new developments which may help, but for the most part it looks like the Windows workflow may not be royally improved until at least NAB time.
Right now you can import footage through RedCine and export a file that CS3 could work with, but the process takes hours and you're not going to be cutting realtime 4k footage! You could edit low-res proxies generated from the original source files, but there's not much in the way of conforming that edit to a high-res master yet. Things are apparently better on the Apple side (at least they have the RedAlert application and Quicktime Proxies) but even so, the Apple users are griping too.
For Windows users, CineForm had a temporary version working but they can't release a full version until after Red unlocks the code to other-than-Apple developers. It appears that Red made an exclusive deal with Apple; Apple supported them before anyone else and part of the terms of gaining that support are apparently that Apple would have an exclusive year where no other editors would have access to the codec. But (again, apparently) that's supposedly going to expire around NAB time when things might open up.
Overall, the camera is still classified as "beta" and the workflow is very much "bleeding edge." I think you can download RedCine and see how it works for you, IINM it's freely available.

I downloaded RedCine yesterday on both my XP editing machine, and my Vista machine that I just watch videos on, and it wouldn't work properly on either. The screen was corrupted in both instances.
