Unless you shot 24p, then just use your editing system to speed up the footage 4% to get 25p. (Your audio also)

what if i shot 24 pa?

what if i shot 24 pa?

How would I do it if I shot 24pa and isn't there a difference in frame size between ntsc and pal?

one problem converting with compressor

one problem converting with compressor

i've noticed one problem with my new pal version that i converted from 24p timeline. It has single frame cross-dissolves between every cut. Why I don't know. Otherwise it looks pretty good.

another way 24p to pal

another way 24p to pal

Another way although the resolution is a little less than the compressor way is to take your sequence into cinema tools and conform the 24p to 25 and then create an 8bit pal timeline in fcp and reframe the content into the larger frame size. Export as a Pal file then process in compressor. When I did this I sharpened the material a bit using the quicktime filter at a level of one. This way has no cross-dissolves between cuts so it looks and flows better than the compressor way.
