how to shrink the size of clip

I have a 55 minute project rendered in post to b&w, exported as a movie file with standard settings and the file size is 11GB! Can someone help a noob out and tell me how to shrink it down to like 4GB so I can get it on a dvd?

Break out the help file and search for "Adobe Media Encoder", or "MPEG-2", or "DVD". Assuming you have PPro CS3, you can also research "Export to Encore".

well that 11gb can still be compressed with adobe 2.0 dvd maker, you may have to adjust quality to make it fit on a standard dvd, how long is the clip on the time line? One hour?

Assume the 11gb file is an avi.

Export it to Encore and it will compress to a mpeg
or
use a standalone converter before importing it into a DVD Authoring program.

If you want to keep it as an avi...it wont fit on a DVD (unless its a BluRay)
