Importing a Video or still into C4D so I can line up my model?

Hey guys, I am super wet behind the ears with C4D and have a workflow problem I can't figure out or find info on....

Perhaps it's obvious....???

I have been modeling text to comp into a scene. (static shot, very basic) I'm happy with my model but I need to line up the model so I can render it at the perfect angle to place in my scene.

How do I do this?

I assumed that I could import the video or a stil and view it through my camera persepective to line it up but I can't seem to figure ot how.

Is there a way I can import my video into the C4D workspace so I can line up my model properly befor I export/render to Comp in After effects.

Please help.

O.K. make a new material and load the picture or video in the color chanell.
Now make a background object and drag the new material to it.

press F1

e voila!
