I think you're talking about the very amazing "Elite Squad/Tropa de Elite", which just won first prize on the Berlin Film Festival. Check this out: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=122654

Thanks a ton Rawfa,
This looks like its it!
Now i have to figure a way to see this movie in Japan lol

[Kwan]

I think you're searching for "Cidade Dos Homens (City of Men)".
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0870090/

[rawfa]

City of God inspired the TV show City of Men (about some of the main character's youth). The Movie City of Men is based on the TV show City of Men, not on City of God (even though it's related). Don't expect the same high level intensity delivered by City of God though.

Oh, and DO check Elite Squad. It's AMAZING!

Thanks for the links guys, will check out both.

You won't regret it.

Anywhere i can check when this movie will be playing in Asia. Japan specifically?
"Elite Squad/Tropa de Elite" i mean.
And i assume i can rent "city of men"

any help?
Thanks!

Hum, that's a tough one. But I trust it won't take as long as most brazilian movies, since it was picked up by the Weinstein Bros.
