No More HD-DVD from Netflix

I subscribed to Netflix almost exclusively for renting HD-DVD. For me, this is the final nail in the coffin for my Toshiba A-1.

I just received the email from Netflix about this. This is the final nail in the coffin for my hd-dvd player as well.

well, at least we can still burn our own content on HD-DVD, at least until the prices come down on Blu-Ray.

well crap. Well at least my little A-1 is good for uprezzing dvd's. And burning my own stuff. I didnt get email yet though - maybe they arent discontinuing HD-DVD for me

True. This is a particularly good uprezzing player IMO.

Yeah the A1 has actually made me like watching my old dvd's on my HD projector again. My old standard dvd player just made me sad when I got the projector. So its not a total loss. Especially since I paid $220 for it.
