Black & White, accenting one color

I want to make a black and white scene where the color red from the blood is the only color showing.

Basically, I go to color correct 3-way, then do I desaturate all the color and hit the button to show the controls on the bottom and with the eye dropper I click on where the blood would be? I tried messing with this but I am doing something wrong, anyone know how to do this exactly? and it's okay if you write it real simple, thanks in advance.

I'm sure there is a way to do this easily with Color, but I don't know it.

In after effects, you just duplicate your video layer, mask everything but what you want to have color on the top layer and desaturate your bottom layer.

Apply the 3-way corrector> flip the little triangle at the bottom of the effect window>Limit effect to color. Pick the color you want to stand out with the eye dropper. Make adjustments from there. Pretty sure that works. Yeah I think you could probly do the same in Color some how as well. (don't have it, so don't know)
