SGpro with flip and follow focus on steadicam...

No, I dont have the shorter rods yet, and the last thing I need is a foot of rod to bash into everything whilst im stedying round the house

I never smile for cameras, im happy inside though

Well i was focusing it a little bit, I just want to have all the weight on the rig that I can to get me used to using a heavy rig, as I will be using bigger cameras when I start steadicamming for others. Thats also why i have two batteries on it.

Which model steadicam were you using? I sure wished the design of the sgpro is such that the camera wouldn't be sitting that high when implemented with the sgflip. The setup look solid though.

One reccomendation is to be carefull with vibration. The higher you get from the sled the more vibration you will have. If you run with the steadicam, you will definetly see it. You will probably need something like Bartech FF with a m-one motor to pull focus. With the flyer even with a matte box added on you should be fine on weight.

PS: Try balancing with the batteries straight down, you might notice when you spin it you will get a much better dynamic balance.

Have fun and enjoy it.

Yeah I have since got myself a Zacuto Z riser so I can mount the lens higher up than the camera, which is much more solid. Unfortunately it wont work on the steadicam yet as I am waiting for some 10 inch rods to arrive.

Its a steadicam flyer, with two Vlock batteries for added bottom weight...
