I had this interview shooting a few days ago and the DVX100B mic pick-up a lot of reverb, I know it's impossible to remove it, and I can't repeat the shoot.

So now I have to do another interview, and i'm looking at ebay for those cheap tie mics systems.
are they worthy? right now i can't get the fancy ones.

other question:
if i have 2 guys talking, can i just use the same receiver to get the sound of the 2 tie mics?

TIA.

Unfortunately you can't have two transmitters going to the same receiver because they will interfere with each other since they'd have to be on the same frequency. (Unless you have one of the few, and expensive, "dual channel" receivers on the market.) To run 2 mics, you'll need to have two complete sets of a paired transmitter and receiver. But if it's a sit-down interview you don't need to use wireless at all. Put a hard-wired lav mic on each person and run a cable to your camera or mixer. Saves a lot of money over wireless. The only time you really need radio mics is when they're moving around while talking.

As for whether a "cheap" setup from eBay would be worth it is hard to say. How cheap is "cheap?" Generally you get what you pay for. We'd have to know the brand and model you're looking at to be able to say anything about it one way or the other.

thanks for reply.

by cheap i mean something like this.

can anyone recommend me a model/brand not too expensive and decent?
i need to buy 2 of these.

I have to say it all depends on what sort of work you're doing and at what level. If you're just a hobbyist shooting the kids or a high school student playing with video, those would be fine. If you're trying to do serious, professional quality work for broadcast, corporate, weddings, etc it's likely something at that level is going to be disappointing and you should be looking at something more like the mic the link sane... listed points to.

Ok, I understand. I was saving for a good shotgun mic, since i have a crappy ATR55. i cannot pay right now $400 for 2 lavs, will save some money and make my shoots with what i have.

thanks again.
