Here's a sunset from my backyard last week...

I was saving this for the contest but figured I'll just shoot something else once it gets running again. For what it's worth, my resolution was to spill less.

Allen... love it!

although gin is the only alcohol I can't stand even the smell of.

Blaine, liking the sunset one, but it looks soft from where I stand.

2 in the Can, your shots are great.

That ram thing looks like it belongs to The Never Ending Story.

It's been forever since I've posted a photo.

Wow... a lot more great photos... Ryan, put a copyright mark on that JD photo and email it to JD... how about $500 for this shot? I agree that it's totally commercial... that picture is a complete ad minus the copy.

2 in the can - indeed an excellent photo. The lighting seems perfect, the label could have overwhelmed the photo but instead the glass and liquid are the stars of this in my opinion.

Sonic, are some of your photos composites? Did you add the starfish? what about the second mustang, did you take two separate photos? The mustang shadow doesn't look super realistic (not saying it looks bad) Lastly did you use a polarizer on the first mustang, the gradient looks surreal!

I'm impressed.

No composites. No polarizers. Just levels and curves and tweaking color. I did have good glass. 17-55 f2.8 on both those Mustang shots. (I also had a 70-200 f/28 VR) Just levels and curves and tweaking color. For the gray car I was just trying to make it pop out against the background (which was how my eye saw it that evening). I don't know how to do HDR, right? I'd love to know how.

Here's the before.. (jpeg straight out of camera)
