HVX + LEX stills and footage

Hmm the dust in the unit worries me a lot. I sold my last letus for this exact reason. The images and upgraded make the unit desirable especially with talk of the relay for the HPX500's.

With the last flip unit I had the achromat was glued in place. SO if there was dust (which there always was) I had to cut the glue, try to remove the dust, reglue the achromat, wait til dry. Now try doing that on a set in 5 mins when dust appears.

TBH if this is still the case, well its not ready as a professional product IMO (but want to clarify I havent seen the newer units) - so is it still the way you need to go about it?

for what its worth, i have used the letus over the last shoot, in heavy snow, the camera getting wet, water seeping through the cracks of the letus, drying it, condensation, and it sitll performed amazingly.

We did notice at the end of the shoot that there seemed to be a small circle of dark spot so i turned the motor off, noticed the dust on the ground glass, and it, literally, took me 5 minutes to remove it, air dust it, Q-tip the condensor and the GG, air spray again, check for more stains/dust, and reseal. This happened once out of a 130 hour + shoot.

Well that I can deal with. I imagine its a lot easier to access the internals then?
