JBK Follow Focus FF-201/15...is it good?

I would be suspicious. Never heard of them. Homemade looking web page. Advertise "retail $1,499.00, web price $500.00???"

The red flags are up on this one for me.

I thought so, too, but as I found, Nancy Schreiber obviously uses/used one of their FF's (see pic)...so perhaps it's not that bad. Thanks for the link to the RR forum, but I don't know how objective the posts are there...Seems to be normal that a RR FF user says that the RR is the best... and an indifocus user says the indi is the best FF and so on...

That ad is 5 years old too. Perhaps the company has changed ownership or gone downhill, who knows? For cheap stuff, both Red Rock and IndieFocus stand behind their gear and they are easy to deal with.

I am beginning to chose gear more and more based off of actual user feedback. I have been looking at Microwaves because mine is dying. So I subscribe to Consumer Reports and both of their number one rated microwaves, you go to the user feedback section and universally, something like 20-30 buyers say that both of the top rated microwave ovens are junk and they would advise not buying one. So who should I listen to, Consumer Reports or the dozens of real life buyers? It's frustrating but I figure if it's just a few people complaining but the majority like something, it's probably good quality but if ALL of the buyers hate it, why would I buy one?

I know that consumer electronics are different than follow focuses but you get the idea?

Yeah, you're right. It's probably better to stay away from experiments and choose a product that is definately worth the money.
Thanks a lot for your input.
