I cannot believe this. A friend sent me a psd files with his companys logo. It worked great! However he needed to fix something on it and sent me a fixed version. Same type apparaantly. Sadly after importing into FCP 5 it no longer allows me to use the motion tab in the viewer. So I cannot adjust the size and placement of the logo. I need to figure this out asap. Any advice would be great!!!!!!

are you sure you're looking at the whole comp or just a layer- also might want to open in Photoshop and save as a TIF or TGA instead.

If you drag a psd file directly to the time line FCP considers it a "composition" or "sequence". In order to edit it's motion parameters you have to right click or ctl click on the clip or graphic in the time line and select "open 'FILE' in viewer". FILE being the name of the clip.

it is only 1 image. 1 layer. Just seems wierd that it worked fine then he sent me another and it cannot be maniplulated in FCP...I will try TIF and TGA see if that works.

Thanks

JCSSKEETER: I tried to cntrl click on the one that I need that has the same graphic as a sequence. it does not give me an option to open in viewer.

Actually I dragged it into the timeline first then right clicked. it seemed to work. Getting a different logo but that is not my problem at this point. The fact is it seemd to work!! Thanks
